Dr Jason is a professor of psychology and the director of the Center for Community Research at DePaul University, Chicago. He is a former president of the Division of Community Psychology of the American Psychological Association. Jason has edited or written 30 books, and he has published over 800 articles and 100 book chapters on various subjects, including CFS/ME, as well as recovery homes, the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse, media interventions, and program evaluation. He has served on the editorial boards of ten psychological journals, including the Journal of Health Psychology, Prevention and Intervention in the Community, the Journal of Community Psychology, and Fatigue Biomedicine Health and Behavior. Jason has served on review committees of the National Institutes of Health, and he has received over $46,500,000 in federal research grants.
