Dr Nicole Moshfegh (she/her) is a clinical and health service psychologist, author, and professor. She is the Founder and Director of We Rise Psychology Inc, a clinical psychology practice in California which specializes in providing culturally responsive, evidence-based care to overachieving adults and teenagers struggling with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, anxiety, insomnia, and burnout. She is additionally an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University where she teaches graduate level courses on sociocultural bases of behavior.

In addition to her training, given her own experiences as a woman of color and child of immigrants, she is a firm believer in empowering her clients to process and understand how the societal trauma of oppression may have impacted their unique trajectories. Dr Moshfegh helped to establish the first physician/ physician-trainee wellness center at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. After many years serving in this role, Dr Moshfegh has come to be known as the “doctor’s doctor” within the Los Angeles medical community.

Throughout her career, Dr Moshfegh has provided treatment and coaching to thousands of diverse individuals, including leaders from various Fortune 500 companies and top healthcare institutions. She has led research on burnout, physician well-being, sleep, and sociocultural determinants of health/wellness. She is the author of The Book of Sleep: 75 Strategies to Relieve Insomnia.
